Oh I am so jealous. Still trying to talk my husband into chickens!

hey- what a great picture! Did you buy the chicks hatched or as eggs? We've been thinking of adding chickens to our backyard, especially since I picked up a free coop by the side of the road a few months back. (It's acually a rabbit hutch, but with a few modifications...) Hope all is well.

We bought them hatched about a week old. We've got them under the heat lamp for now. There are available locally now but if there weren't I'd go to McMurray's http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/ where they specialize in chicken hobbyists and you can get a lot of different varieties shipped to your door.

Hi Noel and Lily,
Your chicks are so cute, and I love the names you gave them. Be sure to ask your Grandpa Craig to tell you the story of the chicken he had when he was about your age. Grandpa Craig named his chicken "Peeper".
Love,
Auntie Lynn
