We've been buying some "Fair Trade" goods for a while. For my b-day, Kim got me two shirts which were "fair trade". I think the certification means something. I know that some "free range" chickens and such are really just marketing hype where they find loopholes for certification. I suppose this is where relationship makes all the difference.

From the outside, distinguishing "locavores" from people who buy healthy imported Thai stuff is a bit funny.

It is really wonderful to hear about this adventure, elephants and chickens included :)
