I so appreciate your honesty when it comes to trying to find a local supplier for remodeling supplies. In my quest I found that the 'EcoDepot' had some locally made tiles (expensive but beautifully hand made glass ones) and that a company called 'Sandhill Industries' was a close tile maker - they do recycled glass tile. They are in Boise (slightly out of your sphere). There is a counter top company out of Seattle (it's close-ish, right?) called Squak Mountain Stone that I used and loved. Remodeling's always a journey of choices and compromises when you're trying to make ecology, community and budget matter. I hope you enjoy the ride!

Regarding shoes for Norel; considering Nordstrom's liberal return policy I would guess that many of the Nordstrom Rack shoes are returns, therefore used. If not used, at least have been tried on by another.

Quarry Tile is a local tile manufacturer and produces tile for Dal-Tile (easily found in most tile stores). I haven't looked into the retail availability of their tile yet but they list a Spokane dal-tile distributor. They also grind up old/seconds tile to make new recycled tiles for their eco line.

Craig

Thanks for the lead on Quarry Tile.
